Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper
Location: Remote / Work from Home
Pay: $23-$35 per hour (based on experience) – this is a 1099 position
Schedule: Flexible, approximately 20-25 hours per week, may work into a full time role

Job Description: As a Part-Time Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with other accounting functions on a project-by-project basis. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years experience in bookkeeping, familiarity with the transportation industry, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile invoices, credit card statements, and general ledger to ensure accuracy.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage and track invoices, payments, and collections for both customers and vendors. Ensure timely billing and follow-up on overdue accounts.
Financial Reporting: Provide detailed reports to management, highlighting any discrepancies or concerns.
Data Entry & Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in our accounting software.
Expense Tracking: Monitor company expenses and suggest cost-saving opportunities.
General Administrative Support: Assist with other accounting-related tasks as needed, other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 7 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a transportation or service-based industry.
Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, invoice processing and reconciliation, tax filings, and financial reporting.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing financial data.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for liaising with employees, vendors, and clients.
