Field Services Technician - Coffee and Refreshment Equipment

Job Description

As a Field Service Technician with Peak Refreshments, you will provide superior customer service as you troubleshoot break room & refreshment equipment. Working at our customer's facility, our service technicians are responsible for preventive maintenance, service, installation and customer training to ensure customer satisfaction. You will maintain the proper parts and supplies in your service vehicle in order to have what’s necessary on hand.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Work with coffee machine manufacturers, coffee shops, or repair companies to install, troubleshoot, repair, or offer routine maintenance on coffee machines and related equipment.

Installation & removal of equipment.

Document all work performed and close out all activities upon completion.

Maintain a professional appearance and follow established safety standards.

Consistently present a professional image, both in personal appearance and condition of company Equipment.

Professionally communicate to customer the services performed.

Cover a service area and help in other areas as needed.

Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when needed.

SKILLS:

Mechanical and electronic aptitude.

Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills.

Strong accuracy and detail oriented with all reporting.

Customer relations, interpersonal relationships, team relations and be service oriented.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Must be self-starter, work with minimal supervision and be able to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.

Great oral and written communication skills.

Willingness to learn about new and emerging equipment & technologies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Field service tech for more than 2 years or a similar position.

Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing various types of vending, coffee and refreshment equipment.

Demonstrated experience working in direct contact with customers on service-related activities.

A 2-year technical certification, apprenticeship training program, on the job training and or military equivalent.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license with proof of an excellent driving record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift 60 pounds.

Position requires sitting, standing, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.

Position requires bending, stooping, kneeling or squatting on a daily basis. May be up to 30% of the day.

Position requires driving company van or large box truck to and from customer sites.Company Description
