The Opportunity
Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Millions of people around the world count on our leading brands - including Similac®, PediaSure®, Pedialyte®, Ensure®, and Glucerna®- to help get the nutrients they need to live their healthiest life.
Our Pediatric Nutrition team has an opportunity for a National Sales Trainer. The ideal candidate will be based in or willing to relocate to our Columbus, OH office. The National Sales Trainer role is a developmental position, requiring the individual to spend 2+ years in Columbus before potentially relocating to another territory. The role is focused on training and developing future field sales managers (District Sales Managers) within our Pediatric Nutrition division.
For highly qualified candidates, remote work within the US is an option. However, this would increase travel requirements and the likelihood of future relocation to another territory for development into a leadership role.
Responsibilities
Achievement of Sales Training objectives, goals, strategies and measures.
Support the identification, development and implementation of assigned product and sales skill training for new hires and sales team members, to include product modules, sales aid annotations, case studies, etc.
Gain and exhibit competence in computer applications as needed by the position and to support Field Sales applications.
Become acquainted with adult learning principles and begin to apply them on the job.
Develop effective group presentation skills for the classroom and sales meetings.
Develop effective written communication skills supporting training activities.
Adapt training materials to changes in selling and customer environments.
Knowledge of assigned products, markets and customers to ensure that effective training programs are identified, developed and implemented.
Accountable for achieving annual goals.
Annual review and updating of assigned training materials to reflect current priorities and strategies.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree required with 3-5 years overall business experience
3+ years sales experience in pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, device, or equivalent industry within healthcare
1+ years field training experience in medical or healthcare industry
Proven track record of exceptional sales performance
Demonstrated competency in advanced selling techniques
Strong communication and presentations skills
Effective 1:1 coaching and facilitation skills
Exercises good judgment
Excellent knowledge of industry's products
Strong skills in Word, Power Point and Excel

The base pay for this position is $85,300.00 - $170,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
