About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to design, build, and automate cloud infrastructure for a leading institution. This role is pivotal in ensuring our Azure environment is secure, cost-efficient, and aligned with best practices. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners to deliver reliable, high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Strategy & Migration: Assess technology needs, evaluate cloud migration options, and manage the full cloud transformation lifecycle. Optimize architecture before, during, and after migrations.

Infrastructure Design & Deployment: Design and deploy Azure infrastructure including Virtual Machines (VMs), Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, and private endpoints. Lead "Lift & Shift" migrations from on-premise to Azure.

Cloud Application Development: Design, develop, and implement scalable and highly available applications using Azure services such as App Services, Web Apps, Functions, and databases.

Governance & Policy Development: Create and enforce cloud usage policies. Evaluate new technologies and support the development of a secure and compliant cloud platform.

Cloud Database Operations: Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based databases. Ensure secure operations, regular updates, troubleshooting, and developer support.

Data Integration & Transformation: Develop and manage ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory. Integrate data from diverse sources into Azure with a focus on quality, consistency, and scalability.

Cloud Security: Ensure compliance with security standards. Collaborate with internal teams and cloud vendors to establish robust security strategies.

Resource Optimization: Monitor and optimize the use of Azure resources to maintain performance and manage costs effectively.

Azure AI Services: Support deployment and management of AI models using services such as Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search.

Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Microsoft Azure cloud development and management, including design, deployment, configuration, and optimization.

2+ years of experience working with IaaS and PaaS solutions.

Strong knowledge of Azure services including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking.

Proficient in scripting languages such as SQL, .NET, JavaScript, Python.

Deep understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, and Azure-specific networking features.

Broad expertise in IT infrastructure, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
