We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Bridge Engineer to lead and manage complex bridge projects and support our growing team. This role involves providing technical expertise, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership:

Lead and manage bridge engineering projects from initial concept through completion

Interface directly with Project Managers to align goals with client expectations and timelines

Collaborate with Task Managers to achieve project milestones and ensure efficient resource allocation

Technical Expertise:

Perform structural analysis and design using industry-standard software

Conduct field observations and inspections to ensure compliance with safety, design, and quality standards

Oversee construction activities to verify adherence to design specifications

Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national building codes and standards

Team Collaboration and Mentorship:

Mentor and guide early-career professionals, fostering technical growth and career development

Review and approve technical work prepared by staff engineers to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards and timelines

Quality Assurance * Oversee quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet high standards * Monitor project progress, addressing risks and challenges proactively

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a concentration in structural engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred

Proven success in leading the technical design of bridge and structural projects

Track record of mentoring and training early career professionals

Experience with DOT (Department of Transportation) design projects

Experience conducting field observations and inspections of bridges to ensure compliance with safety and design standards

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation and Revit; Microsoft Word and Excel required

Technical experience with structural analysis and design software such as RAM Structual System, RISA-3D, Visual Analysis and EnerCalc preferred
