As an HSE Manager here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's health, safety, and environmental engineering efforts within the Industrial Automation (IA) business unit. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety for employees, compliance with environmental regulations, and the implementation of best practices in engineering-related safety. You will lead a dedicated team of HSE professionals, manage budgets, and collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the IA business unit.

You will report directly to our Sr Director HSE and you'll work on site out of our Columbus, Ohio location.

In this role, you will impact our IA business unit by overseeing the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs that ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies that align with the IA business unit's mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility.

Ensure that the IA business unit complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications.

Develop and implement safety measures, training, and policies to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses in the workplace within the IA business unit.

Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and contribute to the development of preventive measures within the IA business unit.

Develop and maintain emergency response plans for HSE-related incidents, including accidents and environmental emergencies within the IA business unit.

Support the management of the HSE budget within the IA business unit, including resource allocation and cost-effective solutions to maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental protection.

Contribute to environmental sustainability within the IA business unit by implementing eco-friendly practices and minimizing the environmental impact of the IA business unit's operations.

Collaborate with various internal departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, training, and education on HSE matters within the IA business unit.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

YOU MUST HAVE

6+ years of experience in HSE engineering

Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.

Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
