Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Data Collector: Assessor will be expected to drive to assigned classrooms to administer tests or classroom observations. Assessments will be conducted at the child's schools/centers.

Among the key duties of this position are:

Scheduling appointments with schools, administering the assessments, reporting the number of completed assessments on a weekly basis to the Project Coordinator, and returning completed assessments to NIEER. Position Status

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Certifications/Licenses

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with a focus or major in child development, early childhood, psychology or related field.

Knowledge about child development and developmentally appropriate early childhood teaching practices is preferred (e.g. Teacher).

Experience in classroom settings and/or working with children.

Working knowledge and the ability to use basic spreadsheet, word-processing, and database and analytical software for data analyses, such as STATA, SAS, R, mplus, and HLM.

Ability to write, speak, and read Spanish.

Experience working with Hispanic communities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must be able to communicate effectively and have effective client service skills.

Ability to record and maintain data in computerized and non-computerized formats.
