Responsibilities
The Corporate Vice President of Accounts Payable (AP) Optimization will provide specialized expertise to implement software and processes that automate tasks in the accounts payable process, improving efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings.
The position will strategically define the process of using software and technology to automate tasks within the accounts payable department, such as invoice processing, matching invoices with purchase orders and receipts, and payment processing with a goal of reducing manual data entry, minimize errors, and streamline workflows that will lead to faster processing times and improved financial visibility. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure AP practices align with enterprise goals and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Required qualifications:
1. MBA in finance, accounting, or a related discipline and 10+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable workflows and automation technology, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
2. Expertise in Process Assessment including evaluation of AP processes, identification of bottlenecks, and recommend areas for improvement.
3. Background in evaluation of related technologies and enhanced AP automation software and tools as needed.
4. Experience in leading the implementation and integration of AP automation software to ensure a smooth transition.
5. Leadership to define and ensure proper training for AP staff on software tools, policies and processes.
6. Strong communication and coaching skills to ensure proper training for AP staff on software tools, policies and processes.
7. Possess strategic planning and leadership skills to develop and execute upon a 3-year plan to promote continuous innovation and motivate team members to achieve defined milestones.
8. Strong project management and change management skills related to system implementations.
9. Prior experience working across functions, business segments for a large company with oversees support.
10. Ability to analyze and improve complex processes using data-driven insights.
11. Experience presenting to executives and allaying concerns about hurdles in changing processes.
12. Demonstrated success in leading AP automation projects, including system selection, implementation, and optimization.
13. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Lawson, Oracle, Workday, SAP) and AP automation tools (e.g., Coupa, Basware, Tipalti, Kofax, AvidXchange).
Preferred Qualifications:
1. CPA, MBA, or relevant professional certification (e.g., APM, CAPA) preferred.2. Prior experience in a health system, integrated delivery network (IDN), or multi-entity healthcare organization strongly preferred.3. Six-Sigma Certified a plus but not required

Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $180,000.00 to $225,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure. Additionally, employees in this position may be eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus program. Discretionary bonuses, if any, are based on a number of factors, which include but are not limited to individual and Company performance.
