Description

Summary/Objective

The Senior Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Essential Functions

Aid and support the Controller and Assistant Controller with various duties as assigned.

Recommend cost savings and efficiencies for the business’ and/or projects.

Reconciliation of accounts and accruals for balance sheet accounts.

Aid in monthly financial statements.

Assist in weekly cash forecasting.

Annual audit support as assigned by the Controller.

Track, analyze and report on project progress, budget and timelines ensuring accuracy and accountability.

Reconcile general ledger accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank accounts.

Assist with Intercompany Transactions.

Manage all companies’ fixed assets.

Prepare special projects as requested.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Controller and/or Controller.

Proficient in all Microsoft Office 365, especially excel.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, fax machines and copy machines. This is a sedentary role; must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and lift to 25 pounds.

This is a full-time position, and typical work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed.

Required Education, Experience & Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience, plus at least five years of accounting experience. Experience in construction and project accounting a plus. Previous experience in NetSuite a plus.
