We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Manager to lead and manage electrical distribution projects from planning through completion. This role is responsible for ensuring all project phases, including design, procurement, installation, and commissioning, are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to organize and prioritize workloads and work independently when given instructions, and accurately manage financials for assigned projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position may or may not have direct reports.

Responsibilities:

Identify and develop relationships with new customers.

Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing customers.

Participate in the development of bidding strategy and pricing.

Prepare take-offs, solicit material and subcontractor pricing, and complete bids in response to customer Requests for Proposals.

Prepare project initiation plans for assigned projects to include manpower loaded schedule, cash flow invoicing projection, material, tool, and equipment requirements, and project-specific safety plans.

Maintain ongoing communication with project sites and customers to identify and communicate issues such as scope changes, schedule conflicts, material shortages, or staffing adjustments.

Manage project costs and proactively identify risks to ensure projects stay within budget.

Develop project cash flows, manage project billing, and change order tracking.

Exhibit proficiency in contract development and management.

Exhibit proficiency in project risk management, including the identification, prioritization, and mitigation of project risks while seeking out and exploiting project opportunities.

Effectively communicate project information to both internal and external stakeholders.

Complete monthly work-in-progress (WIP) in a timely and accurate manner.

Reconcile revenue to expenses for each job monthly.

Oversee project planning, resource allocation, budget tracking, and schedule management.

Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, procurement, and field services.

Serve as the primary point of contact with utilities, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, NEC, NESC) and internal quality standards.

Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Prepare and present regular project status reports to leadership and stakeholders.

Facilitate project close-out, including punch lists, final inspections, and documentation turnover.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

7–10+ years of project management experience in electrical distribution or utility infrastructure.

PMP certification preferred.

Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated skills in providing leadership, motivation, vision, and direction.

Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Proven success in developing and maintaining customer relationships.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
