Own the internal S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) coordination process for material requirements, partnering with Sales and Manufacturing to adjust forecasts as customer demand changes.
Track and adjust safety stock levels dynamically based on production schedules, order volatility, and supply chain risks.
Identify gaps or discrepancies between sales forecasts, production needs, and existing inventory coverage, and adjust purchasing plans proactively.
Negotiate supplier agreements, including pricing, service levels, and lead time commitments.
Maintain supplier performance scorecards with a focus on on-time delivery, quality consistency, and responsiveness.
Manage inbound freight schedules to ensure materials arrive on time without excess inventory buildup.
