Job Summary
The ERW Tube Mill Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) tube mill equipment to produce high-quality steel tubes according to specifications. This role involves setting up machinery, monitoring production processes, performing quality checks, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Operate ERW tube mill equipment, including setup, calibration, and adjustments to meet production specifications.
Quality Control: Perform regular inspections of tubes to ensure they meet dimensional, weld, and surface quality standards.
Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of tube mill equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Material Handling: Load raw materials (steel coils) into the mill and manage finished product output.
Process Monitoring: Monitor production parameters such as welding temperature, speed, and pressure to maintain consistent output.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and lockout/tagout procedures.
Documentation: Record production data, maintenance logs, and quality control results accurately.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors, quality control personnel, and other operators to meet production goals.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in manufacturing or mechanical systems preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating ERW tube mills or similar manufacturing equipment.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of ERW tube manufacturing processes and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with quality control tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in a manufacturing plant with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
