The Project Engineer lead will oversee generator interconnection studies, managing developer requests that can span multiple years, handling re-studies when developers change their data, and more. Key responsibilities include replicating work processes, ensuring all information presented to ERCOT is accurate, managing agreements with developers, and coordinating FIS studies, aiming to complete them within 6-7 months. The Project Engineer will act as a liaison with teams, ensuring developers meet deadlines and compliance requirements, and manage projects, deadlines, and KPIs.
Client Studies: The five key sections for the FIS Projects are:
Facility Study
Steady State Study
Short Circuit Study
Dynamic/Transient Study
Sub-Synchronous Oscillation (SSO) (if required)
Responsibilities:
Dedicate time slots with Interconnection Entities (IE)
Keep projects on track
Coordinate with contractors conducting the studies
Establish timelines for each project activity
Maintain progress in ERCOT’s RIO tool
Maintain our client's SharePoint tracker
Resolve gaps in the progress of studies
Escalate issues as needed
$55/hr to $60/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
