One of CEI's largest Automotive Manufacturing clients is seeking a Project Support Manager to join their growing organization!

Client/Industry: Automotive Manufacturing

Job Title: Project Manager Support

Location: Columbus, OH 43215 (4 days On-site per week during training, then shift to 3 days On-site / 2 days Remote)

Work Schedule/Shift: Mon-Fri Minimum 40 work hours per week.

Duration/Length of Assignment: 12 Month Contract to Hire

Additional Information: Candidate must be onsite four days per week during the initial training period, then transition to a hybrid schedule with three days onsite and two days remote.

W2 Employment Only – No Corp to Corp / C2C arrangements.

Position Overview:

This role was created in support of a large-scale transformation initiative being led by a centralized Initiative Management Office (IMO). The initiative is focused on optimizing cross-functional delivery and governance processes across multiple business and IT workstreams. The person in this position will play a critical role in maintaining Workstream coordination and adherence to governance standards while enabling project momentum across various dependencies. The team consists of Workstream Leads, Program Managers, and Sub-Product Owners, all collaborating to ensure successful initiative delivery. This role reports directly to the Workstream Lead and partners closely with project leadership and stakeholders from other interdependent teams. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating ongoing activities that align with project governance requirements, dependency tracking, and delivery timelines. They will support daily operations within the Workstream, manage communications, and coordinate across cross-functional teams to maintain transparency and alignment. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can independently manage administrative components of project planning and issue tracking, ensure documentation is accurate and timely, and escalate delays or issues appropriately.

Required Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

Associate degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field

7–10 years of experience in a professional environment

7–10 years of Project Management Office (PMO) experience

Strong proficiency in Jira and Confluence (Atlassian Suite)

Prior experience in Agile environments

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word

Excellent organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Demonstrated ability to escalate issues appropriately and manage stakeholder communications professionally

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

PMP or similar project management certification

Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI-ACP certification

Experience managing project plans with MS Project

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Day to Day/Responsibilities:

Maintain Jira plan accuracy, including regular ticket updates, ensuring Jira hygiene, managing blockers, and resolving GRIDs (Gaps, Risks, Issues, Decisions)

Support the Workstream Lead in capacity planning and prioritizing work using Workstream-specific processes

Drive cross-Workstream alignment to remove blockers and facilitate consistent progress across initiatives

Ensure Workstream adherence to established project governance standards and procedures

Provide required inputs and manage requests for integrated project plans in coordination with the Initiative Management Office (IMO)

Use Jira as the primary tool to manage and monitor day-to-day Workstream delivery activities

Partner with the Workstream Lead to prepare, update, and communicate Workstream-level status reporting

Develop, document, and present Change Requests (CRs) for approval by BOBCAT Leadership

Monitor progress against Workstream milestones and task completion; escalate delays or risks impacting timelines

Actively coordinate with cross-initiative stakeholders to align on priorities, change requests, and key interdependencies

Consistently document and communicate dependencies across Workstreams to promote transparency

Escalate unresolved issues related to cross-Workstream dependencies to the Workstream Lead and Program Manager

Drive GRID-related processes by raising new items, managing issue resolution, and escalating critical risks or changes requiring program-level attention

Schedule and coordinate initiative-related meetings, including securing rooms, managing attendance, and arranging necessary equipment and resources

Work with Sub-Product Owners and Workstream Leads to resolve meeting conflicts and support scheduling logistics

Hold regular check-ins with Workstream Leads and Program Managers to ensure alignment, enable collaboration, and communicate updates cross-functionally
