RAN Validation Engineer

Location: 100% onsite (Plano TX)

Key Skills:

Automation Coding: Python, pytest (Python testing framework)

Kubernetes environment experience (good to have Linux too)

4G and 5G RAN knowledge and hands-on experience

Software Release Testing: use case assessment, test case creation, documentation

Troubleshooting: analyzing detailed logs, running traces, root cause analysis

Responsibilities:

Private 5G Deployment: Assist in designing, configuring, and deploying private 5G networks.

Release Validation: Create and execute test cases, validate software releases, and document bugs.

Field Testing: Conduct field tests for KPIs like throughput, latency, and connection stability.

Troubleshooting: Handle root cause analysis, escalate complex issues to vendors if needed.

Network Security: Ensure 5G networks meet security standards (encryption, network slicing).

Documentation: Maintain detailed logs, test reports, and recommendations.

Cross-team Collaboration: Support engineers, network architects, IT, and ops teams.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated with emerging 5G, edge computing, IoT tech.

Qualifications:

Degree: Bachelor’s in Telecom, Electrical Engineering, CS, or related field

Experience: 3-5 years in telecom/wireless; strong hands-on 5G/LTE exposure preferred

Certifications: CCNA, CWNP, or 5 G-related vendor certifications (Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei)

Bonus Skills (Preferred):

Linux experience

Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, RF optimization)

Familiarity with network monitoring tools like Wireshark, NetFlow
