Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Lead the execution of payroll for TUMS, ensuring accurate and timely payroll runs for both exempt and non-exempt employees using ADP Workforce Now.
Payroll Audits: Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Proactively identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Process Optimization: Develop and implement processes to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and organization of payroll functions. Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) for payroll operations to ensure consistent and streamlined workflows.
Payroll Compliance: Stay current on payroll laws, regulations, and tax updates. Ensure the organization is in compliance with all applicable payroll-related regulations.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to resolve payroll-related inquiries and ensure smooth integration between payroll and other systems.
Problem-Solving: Act as a subject matter expert in payroll and provide guidance to the business on payroll best practices, issues resolution, and troubleshooting.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and generate payroll reports for management and other stakeholders as required. Maintain thorough documentation of payroll procedures and audits.
Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of experience working with ADP Workforce Now in a payroll-related capacity. Strong background in delivering payroll services for large organizations.
Payroll Expertise: In-depth knowledge of payroll processing, tax compliance, payroll audits, and both exempt and non-exempt employee payroll structures.
Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to develop and optimize payroll processes, creating efficiencies and improving accuracy in payroll operations.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage complex payroll data and payroll-related issues.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now, Excel, and other payroll and HRIS software.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex payroll issues efficiently.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, HR, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus, but not required.
Self-starter, effective communicator with an inquisitive mind to learn new concepts and processes
Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is preferred.
