We are searching for a Network Engineering Supervisor to join the IT Operations team in their support of the customer’s network.

The Role: As the Supervisor for the Network Engineering Team working to maintain the stability, availability and security of the Navy’s SSP network, you will:
Supervise a dedicated team that manages the customer’s network, provides network engineering support services, IT security, patch management, and field site support.
Design, install, and maintain the network architecture along with implementing and managing network security
Perform hands on technical work configuring and deploying networking equipment
Plan and direct the technical execution of your team’s work.
Develop short range plans and schedules for the current technical effort and also be part of developing long range plans and schedules for future work.
Configure network infrastructure to meet DoD security requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve network infrastructure issue
Collaborate with customers to determine new network requirements, and meet to review project updates
Facilitate Team meetings to break down the requirements into tasks, schedule the releases, and support the implementation
Create technical documentation to include technical instructions and technical designs
Perform staffing and performance responsibilities in coordination with HR and established processes
Build and maintain a cohesive Team by establishing, managing, and communicating team expectations, goals, roles, responsibilities, and objectives
BAE has found that success in this position requires:
An active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret w/SCI Clearance
A DoD IAT II Certification (i.e. CompTIA Security+)
Well versed in CISCO Technologies along with CLI, CISCO IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR
Experience with Cisco Routing protocols BGP and static routing
Thorough understanding of IT Infrastructure, network administration, classified LAN management, and wide area networks
Experience configuring firewalls, routers, and switches
Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues
Experience designing and reconfiguring network architectures
Demonstrated ability to achieve high results
Ability to interact with and effectively present information to employees, management and customers.
Ability to coach and mentor employees
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with partners and government officials
Ability to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC), badge access to the customer’s facility, and a SSP network account in good standing
