Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled System Administrator/IT Coordinator to manage and maintain our company's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing our IT environment, ensuring the smooth operation of all computer systems, networks, and software applications. They will support daily operations, troubleshoot technical issues, and help improve our IT systems' efficiency and security.
Roles and Responsibilities
## System and Network Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and computer systems
- Monitor network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability
- Implement and manage VPN solutions for secure remote access
- Configure and maintain cloud services as needed
## Security Management
- Implement and maintain MDM solutions to secure both company and personal devices
- Establish endpoint security protocols to protect company data
- Create and enforce data access policies and security measures
- Implement backup procedures and disaster recovery solutions
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
## Asset and Software Management
- Create and maintain comprehensive inventory of hardware and software assets
- Ensure software license compliance across all company devices
- Manage the lifecycle of IT equipment, including procurement and retirement
- Standardize operating systems and software across company devices
- Develop specifications for new equipment purchases based on role requirements
## User Management and Support
- Provide technical support to all employees for hardware, software, and network issues
- Create standardized user profiles and access controls
- Establish and execute IT onboarding and offboarding processes for employees
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in a timely manner
- Train staff on IT best practices, security awareness, and new technologies
## Documentation and Process Development
- Create and maintain documentation for all IT systems, configurations, and procedures
- Develop and implement IT policies aligned with company objectives
- Establish standard operating procedures for routine IT tasks
- Document network architecture and system configurations
## Vendor Management
- Liaise with external vendors for hardware, software, and IT services
- Manage service level agreements with IT service providers
- Negotiate contracts and pricing for IT purchases
- Maintain relationships with key technology partners
## Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve IT infrastructure and efficiency
- Research and recommend new technologies to enhance productivity
- Plan and implement IT projects such as system upgrades and migrations
- Develop IT strategies aligned with company growth and objectives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in IT system administration
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 administration
• Experience implementing and managing MDM solutions
• Proven track record in network configuration and security (including VPN setup)
• Experience with endpoint security solutions and best practices
• Knowledge of IT asset management and inventory control
• Demonstrated ability to create and enforce IT policies and procedures
