Our State St. New Jersey location is growing! We're currently seeking mechanically inclined, detail oriented, team members who are experienced with Polar or Saber cutting machines. As a Cutter Operator you will be responsible for the setup, adjustment, and safe operation of all cutting equipment to prepare product to be packed, collated, or bound, ensuring we are meeting customer specifications, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Schedule:
2nd Shift-Primary schedule will be 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Monday - Friday, or similar, based on business needs. This is an on-site position requiring the employee to be present physically. Training may occur at other times.
Salary Range: $17.00 To 19.00 Hourly
Compensation commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Maintain and operate batching system to ensure the completion of assignments
Identify priority jobs to be completed
Review job tickets and strategically plan work processes to meet customer specifications for custom jobs
Collaborate with side cutter operators by communicating inspecting and identifying order types
Troubleshoot machines, if possible, to resolve any problems and/or notify production management
Replace worn cutting blades with hand tools, as required
Set up job assignment specifications, obtain approval and run product once authorized by supervisor or Plant Manager
Monitor apparatus during run, adjust as needed to ensure adherence to specification including operating speed
Ensure completion of assignments by meeting quality/quantity specifications and requirements
Complete and process all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s)
Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Assist in cultivating an interdependent safety culture by reporting workplace hazards, related injuries, illnesses and or/near misses to management immediately
Attend all department/company meetings

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES:
High School Diploma or GED equivalency
One (1) year related experience with Polar or Saber cutting machines, highly preffered CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read and comprehend job assignment tickets and customer instructional specifications
Basic computer knowledge
Effectively communicate with all members of the organization
Excellent attention to detail
Quality, production, and team oriented
Mechanically inclined
Ability to adapt to schedule changes based on the needs of production
