Leading multi-disciplinary team is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Energy) for their Columbus team!
Responsibilities:
Lead energy audits of buildings and identify possible energy efficiency, water efficiency, and renewables opportunities
Identify/provide documentation for energy efficiency strategies
Determine energy baseline, develop measurement and verification (M&V) methodologies
Calculate utility, operational/ancillary savings, and generate financial analysis reports
Assist with building energy modeling duties (data collection, organization, setup)
Identify ways to quantify energy consumption and savings opportunities through analyzing building utility bills
Build/maintain client relationships
Provide technical sales support/coordination
Coordinate, develop, and present concepts and preliminary technical findings
Collect site and other data to assist other team members
Mentor/train junior staff
Some travel may be required Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, architectural engineering or other related discipline or an equivalent of education and experience
5+ years of experience in the energy efficiency industry including energy engineering/energy modeling
PE License preferred
Knowledge of HVAC industry, lighting, and Building Automation System (BAS) controls
Knowledge of design/energy simulation software (Revit, Energy Gauge, IES VE, HAP, TRACE)
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) with the Association of Energy Engineers preferred
LEED AP with specialty is preferred
Salary is commensurate with experience.
