Description
Reporting to the Supervisor, AP/AR, this position is responsible to assist in overseeing the day to day operations of accounts payable/receivables, including the credit process of investigation, delinquencies, and bad debt control.
Responsible to coordinate and direct all processes related to collection of receivables and expenditure of funds to include:
reviewing and reconciling accounts as necessary
reconciling various AR/AP transactions to the GL
overseeing the AR cash applications backlog
Resolves publisher, vendor and customer issues, serving as mediator of escalated issues.
Prepare reports of receipts, expenditures and other information for management.
Provideauditors with financial reports,such as the posted payment register, receipts register, AR trial balance, etc.
Responsible for month-end and year-end accounting procedures including preparation and entry of journal entries for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, reconcilingthe accuracy of these entries.
Review credit data and financial statements to determine extension of credit to clients.
Accountable for ensuring the completion of credit transactions.
Monitor collection of past due receivablesand financial exposureof transactions; referring delinquent accounts to collectionagencies.
Support management with department day to day operations.
File purging. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of three years of experience and/or equivalent combination of education or experience.
Proficient in the use of accounting computer systems and programs including Microsoft Office.
Effective writing and communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
Must have extensive knowledge in financial procedures and local laws.
Needs the ability to function as a team and independently with minimal supervision.
Must possess strong sense of integrity, a strong work ethic, and demonstrate excellent analytical skills.
Normal office environment, close and distant vision, using hands and fingers to handle and feel, talk and hear, sitting, lifting up to 10 lbs. frequently. Standing and walking, lifting up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
