HOW YOU’LL HELP DRIVE THE FUTURE OF NATURAL GAS?

The Sr IT Project Manager - SCRUM Master will be responsible for leading teams of information technology professionals, business partners and vendors, providing technical, professional, and personal leadership to assure the successful completion of IT&T projects. Under minimal supervision, is responsible for all aspects of the project life cycle and will act as a single point of contact for those projects. Facilitate alignment with the systems development methodology and associated processes used within the PGS IT and TEC IT Departments. Support teams in delivering solutions to the business utilizing Agile Methodology. Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, information technology (IT) teams, governance committees, and other key individuals to define, prioritize, support, and deliver the SCRUM backlog through a series of sprints. Remove roadblocks and impediments, manage SCRUM ceremonies, and provide coaching to stakeholders and team members on agile methodology best practices.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field from an accredited institution.

Holds an industry-level associate level project management certification (Certified Associate in Project Management – CAPM, CompTIA Project+, or equivalent).

6 years of experience in managing IT projects and 3 years of professional experience in agile development as a SCRUM Master. Experience working with multiple software development teams that applied Scrum, Waterfall and/or Hybrid principles, practices, and theory.

Strong Project Management Skills.

Must have demonstrated sound technical knowledge in areas relating to Agile Methodology, Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Program Management Office (PMO), and project portfolio analysis.

Knowledge of the Agile and PMO principles, concepts, practices, and procedures.

Proficient application of IT best practices.

Strong presentation, influence, and relationship management skills.

Strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills.

Ability to work with teams in a hybrid work environment.

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lead team in brainstorming, root cause analysis, or similar problem-solving techniques to assist in resolving issues, crafting solutions, or defining process improvement.

Ability to coach on Scrum/Agile processes and give feedback to individuals and teams.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management and Agile / SCRUM Activities

Lead project teams in defining and sequencing activities, estimating tasks, and building the overall plan to achieve project objectives.

Conduct SCRUM ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Collaborate with product owners to prioritize and manage the product backlog.

Drive issue resolution by removing impediments and roadblocks to ensure the team can deliver on its commitments.

Provide coaching and guidance on the best agile practices to team members and stakeholders.

Ensure alignment with the systems development methodology and associated processes.

Partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, and governance committees to deliver project outcomes.

Project Support

Communicate project information and status to all stakeholders and escalate appropriately.

Develop plans and facilitate the execution of the project schedule, continually monitor progress, identifying and managing risks, and driving issue resolution.

Consistently apply best practices in managing projects and demonstrate accountability for project success.

Coordinate project-related activities of several information technology professionals and manage contract workers.

Thought Leadership

Provide training and guidance and oversee the work of team members /contractors to ensure quality results.

Support portfolio management and resource management activities.

Support the creation and development of IT, solution, and SCRUM metrics.

May be called upon to act in a lead role as needed.

Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology related discipline.

Holds an industry-level experienced level project management certification (Project Management Professional – PMP, Certified Scrum Master – CSM, or equivalent).

WHO WILL BE A PART OF YOUR TEAM?

SCRUM/Agile Team, vendor, contractor, business and technical resources and relationships and ensures adequate support for all backlog, sprint and assigned work activities. Coaching other team members. May serve as a backup to management.

Interacts with company employees at all levels, with responsibilities for external interactions with consultants, vendors, and contractors. Delivers presentations to business partners and senior management in providing project status and seeking project approvals.

Direct relationships include IT Architects, IT Strategic Planning, Development Staff and Support of various business application towers, Project Management Office, Other IT and Business Stakeholders etc.

Responsible for building and maintaining external relationships with vendors, contractors, external auditors, and consultants (System Integrators, Offshore Teams).
