Summary
In addition to performing the clinical duties of a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) and charge CRNA, this position must be versed in all aspects of the Chief CRNA's role. The Assistant Chief CRNA is prepared to assume overall responsibility for CRNAs in the event the Chief CRNA is unable to carry out his/her duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Must possess a current license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
Graduate of an accredited school of nurse anesthesia.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
Two years of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
A fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system. Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a Charge or supervisory position.
