Role Overview:
eShocan is seeking an experienced Senior Seating Engineer, Trim and Foam Specialist to lead the design and development of foam and soft-trim for world-class vehicle seating systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a hands-on approach, and a passion for automotive innovation. This role requires excellence in both styling and function while working in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will also act as a mentor to junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Be a significant contributor to a world-class seating team.
Develop industry-leading seating systems with a focus on luxury, craftsmanship, performance, safety, ergonomics, and functionality.
Support the packaging, engineering, release, and launch of trim and foam assemblies for seating systems.
Collaborate with trim shops and suppliers to ensure technical excellence and timely system delivery.
Employ and develop effective tools and innovative approaches to support product development.
Provide input to DREs regarding foam and trim feasibility, attachment strategies, and optimizations for weight, cost, performance, and durability. Qualifications:
7+ years of experience as a technical engineer leading trim and foam development projects for automotive seating systems.
Participation in at least 2 full vehicle programs from concept to production.
Strong knowledge of complete seat trim and foam systems with a proven track record of technical excellence and program execution.
Understanding of automotive seating trim and foam industry benchmarks, trends, and supplier competencies.
Hands-on experience developing trim and foam DVP&Rs & DFMEAs.
Experience in establishing and refining technical product specifications and timelines for accelerated SOP cycles.
Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA 3DX) to create 2D/3D concept drawings, trim patterns, foam components, packaging layouts, and DFM studies.
Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple vehicle system teams. Preferred Qualifications:

Strong practical hands-on approach to complement theoretical knowledge.
Design experience using CATIA 3DX.
Exceptional technical abilities and communication skills (written & verbal) to collaborate effectively with multiple vehicle systems. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
