Job Summary:
As a member of Rack Solution Team at Supermicro, this candidate will be responsible for testing and validating hardware, network, storage and server components; to create solutions meeting or exceeding the market requirements for both OEM and end-user customers; to discover and resolve hardware and HW/SW issues collaboratively. We hope you will be a fast-learner, team player and with excellent communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Acted as project coordinator; collaborated with PMs, Production Engineers (PEs), and cross-functional teams (testing, benchmarking, etc.)
Coordinated and delivered PoC environment setups; presented testing processes and strategies during PoC evaluations
Planned and monitored testing schedules; reviewed test reports, identified root causes of failures, and proposed solutions
Supported PE testing requirements and provided timely issue resolution
Maintained IT room infrastructure and performed ongoing system health monitoring
Participated in weekly meetings for workload tracking, progress reporting, and cross-team updates
Demonstrated strong cross-department communication and coordination skills
Available for occasional domestic and international business travel as required
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in server-related engineering
Intermediate in English. (Reading documentation or basic conversation)
Familiar with BIOS and BMC operations and concepts
Experienced with server production testing processes
Proficient in Linux operating system and remote operation
Hands-on experience with OS installation and deployment
Knowledgeable in basic switch configuration and network architecture concepts
Familiar with server-related operation software tools
Understanding performance testing and benchmarking for servers, including multi-GPU and HPC environments
