General Summary

The Senior Manager of Construction & Optimization is responsible for overseeing the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of fixed wireless infrastructure. This role manages a team of foremen to ensure the successful execution of construction projects, network performance improvements, and site installations. This position plays a critical role in workforce planning, operational efficiency, and maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Allocate resources, prepare work schedules, and assign tasks to meet construction and optimization goals.

Manage multiple construction sites simultaneously, ensuring timing project completion and issue resolution.

Conduct site visits, oversee construction crews, and provide technical guidance as needed.

Oversee installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of wireless and ground equipment. Maintain material inventory to support uninterrupted project execution.

Assist in developing and executing site installation plans to meet company objectives.

Coordinate project meetings with engineering, network operations, field, and management teams.

Serve as liaison between internal and external stakeholders such as site owners and managers.

Oversee team staffing, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management, ensuring productivity, compliance, and adherence to company policies.

Manage team travels and ensure the team is properly following the company’s travel policies.

Ensure all employees and contractors adhere to company and industry safety standards. Conduct regular site inspections and enforce proper safety protocols.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for fixed wireless construction.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

8+ years of experience in network infrastructure, construction management, or telecommunications.

5+ years of leadership experience managing field teams, foreman, or construction crews.

Extensive knowledge of fixed wireless technologies, site construction, and network optimization.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects, allocate resources, and meet aggressive deadlines.

Strong understanding of safety regulations, permitting, and site acquisition processes.

OSHA 30 certification, PMP, or relevant project management certification preferred.

Experience with GIS Mapping, RF optimization, and network troubleshooting tools.

Travel as required by projects (up to 50%)

Working Conditions

Physical demands: While performing duties of job, employee is constantly required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to frequently climb ladders and communication towers and work in an elevated position up to five hundred (500) feet. On a constant basis, the incumbent must safely lift, carry and maneuver heavy or awkward objects one hundred (100) pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Full spectrum color vision required.

Work environment: Must be able to work safely in a field environment. Frequent work in adverse weather conditions. Frequent work in an office environment.
