Continuous Improvement Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing sector, specifically within the automotive industry. Compensation: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional teams to achieve breakthrough performances in personnel, quality, material flow, and reduction of operational costs.
Identify and engage key stakeholders for project team roles, ensuring commitment and active participation.
Conduct and facilitate Six Sigma training for team members, enhancing their skills and understanding of process improvement.
Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to measure, analyze, control, and improve project processes effectively.
Provide regular project updates to leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment with broader business goals.
Develop detailed project plans that outline performance tracking and timely achievement of predefined quality and savings objectives.
Proactively identify and mitigate barriers to project success, obtaining necessary support from project champions.
Document process improvements and share insights and best practices with other teams and Black Belts within the organization.
Propose new improvement projects by accurately identifying and describing potential opportunities to leadership.
Ensure strict compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a secure and safe working environment. Minimum Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline, with priority given to candidates with degrees focused on manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
Recent and relevant experience in a manufacturing setting, automotive industry preferred.
Strong competencies in communication, collaboration, and presentation essential for team and stakeholder engagement.
Demonstrated ability to perform at high levels with keen attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Strong initiative to drive changes and exceed performance expectations consistently.
A foundational understanding of statistical analysis applied to product and process improvement projects.
Excellent analytical capabilities for complex problem-solving scenarios. Preferred Qualifications:
Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher.
Advanced training or certifications related to continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean, TPM, or similar.
Experience managing large-scale projects and driving significant change initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with the latest industry trends and technology advancements in manufacturing and process improvement.
Proven track record of successful project management and tangible improvement metrics. Skills:
