Quality Assurance Manager
Job Summary:
As the Food Manufacturing Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the quality assurance program. You will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining a robust quality management system to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards and possess strong leadership skills to drive continuous improvement in our quality assurance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
SQF Compliance:
Develop, implement, and maintain the SQF system to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Conduct regular SQF audits and inspections to verify adherence to policies and procedures.
Quality Management System (QMS):
Establish and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System to monitor, evaluate, and improve all aspects of the manufacturing process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and implementation of quality standards.
Process Monitoring and Improvement:
Implement and manage effective process control measures to monitor production and ensure consistent product quality.
Lead investigations into non-conformances, customer complaints, and product deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Training and Development:
Provide training to employees on quality and food safety practices, ensuring a strong culture of quality throughout the organization.
Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team.
Supplier Quality Management:
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming raw materials and ingredients, conducting supplier audits as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to quality assurance activities.
Generate regular reports on key performance indicators and quality metrics for management review. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of [X] years of experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry.
Expertise in Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards and certification.
