What is the position?

The SQL Server Database Administrator plays a critical role in overseeing the design, administration, and support of SQL Server databases with a strong emphasis on safety, organization, and teamwork. This position requires sharp critical thinking skills and will involve managing SSIS and SSRS environments while ensuring database security and performance.

What are the responsibilities?

As a SQL Server Database Administrator, you will:

Administer and maintain SQL Server databases, SSIS, and SSRS environments following industry best practices.

Design, implement, and support database structures while maintaining data integrity and security.

Troubleshoot performance issues, manage backups, and ensure disaster recovery capabilities.

Collaborate closely with internal teams and suppliers, participating in scheduled Supplier Spotlight calls.

Support cloud-based database solutions.

What are the requirements?

Bachelor's degree or technical certification preferred.

Proven experience administering SQL Server databases with an understanding of database design principles.

Hands-on experience with SSIS, SSRS, and cloud-based database environments.

Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong general PC skills.

Scripting knowledge (T-SQL, PowerShell) and experience with SQL Server Availability Groups preferred.
