GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for creating profitable and competitive rates and contract proposals for assigned trade lanes and/or customers.

PEOPLE MANAGER: N/A

EXPERIENCE: 2 - 4 years industry experience, with 1 - 2 years prior customer service or sales experience

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business, transportation/logistics or equivalent work experience; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint

COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to perform accurately in a detail oriented environment. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. Ability to prepare, monitor and administer budgets, as well as the ability to perform financial analysis. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Ability to identify and/or document existing and new trends, as well as evaluate and predict their impact on the organization. Knowledge of statistical methods and concepts used in pricing model and forecasting. Knowledge of various competitive pricing strategies

JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.

Status: Active

FLSA Status: The position is Non-Exempt. May require the ability to work overtime to meet required deadlines. Must comply with all work rules, including those that pertain to safety and health.
