PowerBI Developer

GovCIO is currently hiring for PowerBI Developer to support business intelligence dashboarding and data management. This position will be located in Stafford/Quantico, VA and will be on-site with some flexibility in the work schedule/location at the customer's discretion.

Responsibilities

Develops and updates PowerBI reports as well as providing guidance/insight to improve customer workflow and decision-making. Manages data, evaluates its results, and display them as required per customer direction. This position requires extensive understanding of modeling, databases, data warehousing, data integration, and technical elements of business intelligence technologies. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical abilities are required.

Utilizes business intelligence tools such as PowerBI to effectively combine, analyze, and display metric data in online shared environments

Utilizes relational database development and management tools, such as Oracle OBA and/or Microsoft SQL Server development and management tools, etc., to design and create software and database systems

Interprets and evaluates accuracy of results through iterative, agile methods

Works closely with data SMEs, business, and management to prioritize business and information needs

Qualifications

Clearance required: SECRET

Education/Training Requirements:

High School with 9+ years of PowerBI focused work

DOD 8570 IAT Level II (must be able to obtain within 60 days post hire)

Required Skills and Experience

Expertise in developing and optimizing business intelligence (BI) reports and dashboards

In-depth knowledge of data modeling and data visualization concepts

Advanced knowledge of business intelligence language(s) used for report customization

Strong knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and extraction

Great familiarity with PowerBI Desktop and Report Server

Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience with project lifecycle project coordination activities

Experience conducting preliminary analysis and feasibility studies in order to identify user requirements, management issues and objectives, and provide alternative solutions

Experience conducting analyses of complex systems to create design and screen layouts, reports, tables, and queries

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

USD $145,000.00 - USD $165,000.00 /Yr.
