As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of client portfolios, including making tactical decisions on asset allocation, buying and selling investments, and optimizing portfolio performance. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial goals and risk profiles while leveraging market insights to develop and implement strategies that meet their investment objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management:

Develop and implement portfolio strategies aligned with investment objectives and risk parameters.

Oversee and manage client portfolios, ensuring alignment with financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment strategies.

Execute and oversee trades to maintain desired portfolio exposure and risk levels.

Develop and execute investment strategies that optimize portfolio performance, balancing risk and return.

Make tactical decisions regarding asset selection, buying/selling securities, and rebalancing portfolios to maximize returns.

Regularly monitor portfolio performance, benchmark performance against industry standards, and make necessary adjustments to enhance returns.

Investment Analysis:

Perform comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis of potential investment opportunities.

Regularly monitor and follow up with core portfolio holding securities to assess performance, financial health, and ongoing alignment with investment strategy.

Conduct ongoing research on market trends, macroeconomic factors, and industry developments to inform investment decisions.

Trading Execution:

Execute timely trades across various asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, digital assets, options).

Manage order execution, monitoring market liquidity, pricing, and minimizing execution costs.

Ensure trades comply with internal guidelines, regulatory standards, and risk management protocols.

Operations and Reporting:

Collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure accurate trade reconciliation, settlement, and reporting.

Prepare regular investment commentaries, performance reports, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all investment decisions, trades, and analysis.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with senior leadership, investment committees, and compliance to ensure alignment of portfolio strategy and execution.

Effectively communicate investment ideas, strategy rationale, and portfolio performance internally and externally.

Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates, performance reports, and market insights.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (CFA, CFP, etc.) are preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in trading and portfolio management or a comparable investment management role with a track record of success.

Demonstrated expertise in managing diverse investment portfolios across multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, alternatives, etc.).

Experience with options trading is required.

Solid professional or personal investment track record is an asset

Working knowledge of quantitative analysis and trading signals is considered a strong asset.

Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience integrating APIs for data analysis, automation, or portfolio management purposes.

Ability to work independently in a highly organized, professional manner, effectively managing fluctuating workloads and competing priorities.

Exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to conduct in-depth research and solve complex investment problems.

Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, effectively juggling multiple tasks, and meeting tight deadlines.

Familiarity with cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum) and blockchain technology is highly valued, with an understanding of their impact on traditional investment strategies.

Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a focus on data-driven insights and risk management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, and external partners.

Must meet all regulatory requirements to be registered as an Advising Representative (AR) or Associate Advising Representative (AAR).
