We're looking for a Process Engineer for our client who is one of the world leaders in automotive manufacturing. The job will handle multiple, small to large scale projects within the three manufacturing plants of this multinational and award winning company. Job Type: Long-term Contract

Suspension Arc Welding Line - Gasoline & Hybrid Vehicles

Address equipment Safety, Quality, and Productivity concerns.

Continuous engineering to meet target Key Performance Indices of weld process: Weld Quality, Cycle Time, Repair Ratio, etc.

Suspension Dimensional Accuracy Control

Ensured part feature location in 3D space meets required specifications as per Toyota Japan engineered drawings.

Continuous Vectoron measurement and welding jig pin & datum adjustment to control part accuracy.

Development of an easy-guided inspection program using Polyworks

Introduce new technology "3D Scanner / CMM" equipment to fully measure produced suspension parts

RFID Part Flow Tracking System

Lead automated part flow pipeline inventory tracking system project

Project coordination of 8 departments throughout 4 facilities

Production control improvement through the live report of part inventory count at each facility and transit route

Process capability studies to evaluate the impact of process changes

Cost projection of direct and indirect materials use for arc welding process based on engineered formulae, such as Welding robot torch tip, Welding wire, and MIG welding gas.

Manufacturing process line preparation for the start of full production: ergonomics improvement, process Kaizens, etc.
