Job Title : Welding Manufacturing Engineer- Continuous Improvement -Custom Metal Fabrication; Mechanical Engineer

Custom Metal Fabrication & Welding (ASME, CWB )

Welding cutting machining forming MUST

Mechanical Engineering Degree / EIT -MUST

Location: Milton- Cambridge- Guelph, ON area

Salary: 80-100K base; benefits

Permanent Full time, On site at the manufacturing site 5 days a week

Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom-built metal fabricated parts and have a job open for Welding Manufacturing Engineer in Milton- Cambridge- Guelph, ON area. Candidates must have experience in metal fabrication process improvement, customised production line set up, capacity planning, line modification, equipment relocation to accomodate customised new projects on the manufacturing floor. Clear criminal check is required .

Welding Manufacturing Engineer is a hands-on role working closely with Production and Engineering to improve the floor capacity to accomodate different sized/ tolerences/ customised fabrication jobs on the floor - capacity planning, equipment relocation, process flow mapping and assist in New Product Development. You will work closley with welding processes - improve weld instructions SOPs, welding Best Practices and ensure Safety.

Welding Process Engineer will ideally have minimum 5 years experience in improving welding processes, lead continuous improvement projects in custom fabrication, line balancing. Experience with Lean on welding procedures and suggest corrective actions. Degree in Mechanical Engineering / EIT / Diploma as Welding Technologist are highly preferred. Established experience in improving welding processes including bending cutting forming and writing welding procedures. Excellent English communication skills are a MUST .Clear Criminal check is required.
