GRAPHIC DESIGNER

This position oversees the graphic design and brand image for a broad range of strategic marketing and communications initiatives for the UAB School of Health Professions (SHP). This position is responsible for the graphic and digital design output for all marketing and communications initiatives, including ads, magazines, publications, posters, flyers, brochures, animations and other visual communications. To support and advance our school's mission and strategic priorities through the development and implementation of creative print and digital communication activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Designs or creates quality designs for publications, newsletters, video, websites, social media, invitations, advertisements, flyers, direct mail, postcards, banners, and other marketing and communication pieces.

Conceptualizes design layout and coordinates final production of finished product

Thinks creatively to produce new ideas using innovation to redefine a design and meet the constraints of cost, time, and client.

Meets with clients/team to determine design needs

Perform other duties as assigned

Annual Salary Range $46,530 - $75,615

Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Web Design or a closely related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
