Engineering Services Manager – Paroc Building Insulation

Location: Remote or Hybrid in countries Sweden or Germany. It is also possible to be based from our other European sites like Finland, Baltics states or Poland.

About the position

Paroc, our Stonewool business, manufactures and provides insulation material that help consumers and industries reducing their energy consumption. Here at Owens Corning we are fully engaged in reducing our CO2 emission by a series of ongoing investments.

We are looking for an Engineering Services Manager who will be responsible for developing a central service within PAROC Building Insulation Europe that delivers roof drawing services and façade dimensioning services to our customers mainly in the Nordics, but also in Central Europe.

The Engineering Manager is both setting up and managing the service and performing drawings and calculations for customers. With their experience in building design, the person serves as the Center of Excellence for building design within PAROC Building Insulation, sharing knowledge and insights with colleagues and giving valuable input into development projects.

Leading and developing an engineering services function

Performing roof drawings and façade system calculations

Coordinating partners and contractors

Skills and capabilities necessary to succeed

Existing networks within the construction designer/engineering community, especially in the building envelope

Hands on experience in mechanical / structural design in construction industry

Good networking, cooperation and interaction skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills in both technical and commercial matters

Project management skills

Development minded, energetic and curious personality eager to develop and learn

Systematic and performance driven, target oriented and self-guided

Courage to challenge the current situation

Having an ability to partner with many cultures across Europe

Conducting yourself with the highest ethical and moral standards

Business requirements

Minimum Bachelor degree in field of building engineering, civil / structural

Relevant experience in structural design and with usual design software e.g. ArchiCAD

Fluent in English, Swedish or German is a big plus.

Willingness to travel up to 20%
