The Lenz lab in the Behavioral Neuroscience area of the Psychology Department, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Post Doctoral Scholar to join our team.
The Post Doctoral Scholar will perform research on neuroimmune mechanisms of early life stress and pediatric traumatic brain injury and its effects on brain development, transcriptomic changes, neural plasticity, and complex social, affective and cognitive behavior in rodent models; in pursuant to research goals, designs and leads experiments, including rodent husbandry, surgery and behavior testing, transcriptomic, biochemical, molecular, and histological assessments; maintains current understanding of relevant literature; contribute to publication of manuscripts for research projects that have been conducted already and require writing and publication, as well as preparing manuscripts based on data the individual generates; assists with grant writing of the PI; works closely with all members of the lab team at OSU Department of Psychology and other OSU collaborators.
Required Education:
Ph.D. in Neuroscience or neuroscience related field
Qualifications:
Required: Experience with neuroscience research in animal models, experience with wet lab techniques, and experience with generating and analyzing transcriptomic data or other bioinfomatic approaches.
