Job Title: Cook - Hospital Setting

Location: Houston Medical Center, Houston, TX

Pay: $18/hr (Weekly Pay)

Shift: Hours and shifts vary; candidate must be flexible and available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team at a prestigious hospital located in the Houston Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in food preparation and will be responsible for ensuring the timely and proper preparation of meals for patients, staff, and visitors in a hospital setting. This position requires flexibility, teamwork, and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare meals for hospital patients, staff, and visitors, following dietary guidelines and hospital menus.

Adhere to strict food safety standards and ensure kitchen cleanliness.

Work closely with kitchen staff and hospital management to meet meal schedules and dietary restrictions.

Ensure all food is prepared according to hospital policies and standards.

Manage kitchen inventory and assist with restocking supplies.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all health and safety protocols.

Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen supervisor.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in food preparation or a related kitchen environment.

Food Handlers Certificate (required)

Immunizations and TB test (required)

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Must be flexible and available to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
