Description
Maintaining, repairing, improving, and preparing machine tools and dies, by welding; hand and surface grinding
Lift, positioning, and securing machined parts on surface plates or worktables, using crane
Performing routine preventative maintenance, such as lubrication, cleaning, sharpening, and replacement of worn parts
Operating and testing machines, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to used shape parts to specified dimensions and finishes
Using precision measuring instruments to verify parts for conformance with specifications
File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts for proper fit / assembly
Conducting test runs with completed tools or dies, and adjust as required
Recommending methods and materials to be utilized for specific production operations
Maintaining and update documentation, such as part samples, diagnoses, and daily logs in written and digital forms

Perform other duties assigned

Requirements
2+ years of experience in Tool & Die
Experience repairing and maintaining Progressive and Transfer Dies (Majority of dies will be Transfer)
Knowledgeable on how to operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders and how to shape parts to specified dimensions and finishes
High level competency in use of micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers
Experience with safe operation of overhead Cranes & heavy loads
Proficient in TIG and MIG Welding
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Must be able to speak and read basic English to comply with position, Safety, Plant & PPE procedures & requirements
Must be willing to cross-train
Must be able to work company's required overtime
Must comply with FIC's Attendance and Punctuality Policy
Pay Range $22/hour - $43/hour based on qualifications and experience
Additional Compensation We operate two shifts and 2nd Shift employees are given a $1/hour shift differential
