Resurrection has an opening for a Worship Experience Specialist & Location Coordinating Assistant in our Ministries & Programs division! Job Summary
The Worship Experience Specialist is the church's location leader responsible for creating a meaningful worship experience that guides our guests and existing members on their journey to become deeply committed Christians. As a member of the Worship Team, the location Worship Experience Specialist will steer all logistics related to weekend worship, ensuring that every person who attends worship has an exceptional experience. Weekend worship responsibilities consist of leading the ministries of Holy Communion and Guest Connections, including the management of Greeters and Ushers, Parking teams, Info Desk, Medical Team, Hospitality teams and others supporting first impressions and the guest experience related to worship. The location Worship Experience Specialist is also responsible for key administrative aspects of the location such as guest follow up and the coordination of worship volunteers for Sanctuary events, including Baptisms and Holy Communion. This position also provides general administrative support for the location.

Position-Specific
Serve as the on-site Staff leader in Worship Experience for all worship services.
Provide holistic leadership, training, and support to all Worship Experience/Guest Connection Teams
Manage volunteer schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all services.
Build effective teams, identifying high-capacity leaders and equipping people for ministry.
Ministry assessment and performance evaluation, goal setting, mentoring, spiritual encouragement, support, and conflict resolution.
Prepare for and conduct team meetings, trainings, and celebration/recognition events.
Lead logistical planning and implementation of worship elements in weekly worship and special events that are theologically consistent with the United Methodist Church.
Ensure elements and practices are carried out in accordance with the United Methodist Book of Discipline.
Including special worship events and liturgical holidays. Examples: Communion, Acolytes, Baptism, Anointing, Ash Imposition, processionals, recessionals, remembrance of baptism.
Oversee logistics for the sacrament of Communion.
Sets up Sanctuary for Communion each month, ensuring altar is set according to Pastor preference.
Lead volunteers as staff person on-site during communion services each month, ensuring Communion is delivered in ways that are theologically consistent with the United Methodist Church.
Manage logistics of special worship-related handouts or sermon series promotional items, i.e., magnets, special worship handouts, etc.
In collaboration with the Worship Experience Team provide timely oversight of first-time guest follow up practices as well as other member and guest communications relating to the worship experience including location specific online platforms.
Maintain a functional and reverent aesthetic in all worship spaces.
Seasonally, work with RXP, Worship, and contracted florists/interior designers to support the development and implementation of a décor scheme that enhances the worship experience during holidays and in accordance with the liturgical calendar, i.e., Lent, Maundy Thursday, Easter, Advent, Christmas.
Recruit and provide leadership to volunteer teams or contractors assigned to implement this plan.
Coordinate logistics of large-scale worship services such as Candlelight Christmas Eve and Easter including recruiting and equipping additional volunteers for these larger special services.
Attend Worship Experience and Location-specific team meetings, All-Staff meetings, etc.
Provide support to location team in the event of large scale events
Professionally represent the location and the supported staff team, including providing reception for guests and serving as an initial point of contact with inquiring congregants, answering questions and routing phone calls.
Provide administrative support for the location, including maintaining calendars for the Location Pastor and ministry team; coordinating travel arrangements; maintaining databases, registrations, and surveys; oversight for projects and events making room reservations, overseeing and assisting with set up, overseeing catering, etc.
Provide support for operational matters related to the office and daily business operations, including serving as point of contact for the coordination of church-wide operational support, including Business Operations and Resurrection Experience divisions.
Support the oversight of the team budgets and expenses, including purchasing, expense reimbursements, contractual arrangements and budget planning.
Provide administrative support, when directed, to assist other parts of the Division and Church.
General administrative support, and other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Skills: Positive and professional communication skills with strong acumen for working with a wide variety of people. Proficient computer skills, especially with MS Excel, Outlook, and Word. Data management expertise through database maintenance and reporting. Aptitude working with web content management software. Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
Understanding of the theology and traditions of the United Methodist Church, particularly as it pertains to the sacraments of Communion and Baptism.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50lbs., stand for long periods of time and walk extensively during worship services.
