The Department of Criminal Justice prepares students for entry-level positions in various educational and professional possessions within the realm of criminal justice which includes but is not limited to, law enforcement, corrections and community services professions and transfers to bachelor's degree programs at institutions of higher learning nationwide.

The purpose of the CCRI Department of Criminal Justice is to teach students to function as competent, ethical and professional practitioners and educators prepared to fill a variety of entry level positions in a diverse society, well equipped to pursue a Baccalaureate degree in their chosen profession.

SUBJECTS: * Criminal Justice courses Duties and Responsibilities * To teach courses in the Criminal Justice program.

* To design and deliver a competency-based curriculum using multiple instructional modalities, including online, hybrid and lecture.

* Ability to develop.

* Ability to develop course work that prepares students for the challenging professional positions within the field of criminal justice.

* Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with students and colleagues.

Instructional Skills: * Plan, develop, present, and modify courses from proposal, to syllabus, to delivery (classroom, hybrid, or online), to assessment, to evaluation.

* Teach assigned courses * Convey knowledge and skills effectively to students.

* Use advanced technologies to expand student resources and learning opportunities.

* Assess student learning according to best practices in measurement of student performance objectives and outcomes.

* Demonstrate creativity and flexibility in pedagogical approaches to a diverse population of students and peers.
