Purpose Statement The Logistics Manager at the Philippine Red Cross is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's supply chain and logistics strategy and operations to maximize efficiency and productivity.
This role involves procurement, warehouse operations, and fleet management, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery in support of the humanitarian goals of the Philippine Red Cross.
Key Responsibilities: Procurement Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Manage end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring 100% of contracts are negotiated within timelines and budgets.
Maintain a 100% compliance rate with local and international procurement regulations, as verified through audits.
Coordinate with stakeholders to forecast needs and ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
Implement and oversee a transparent tendering process, ensuring ethical dealings with all vendors.
Warehouse Management Oversee multiple warehouse operations, ensuring proper storage and inventory management.
Implement efficient inventory control systems to minimize waste and optimize space utilization.
Ensure safety procedures are followed to protect goods and personnel.
Coordinate logistics of goods movement from suppliers to warehouses and distribution centers.
Regularly review and optimize warehouse operations for improved efficiency.
Fleet Management Manage the organization's fleet of vehicles, ensuring proper maintenance, servicing, and compliance.
Develop and implement a fleet management strategy, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
Optimize routes and schedules for improved fuel efficiency and timely delivery.
Implement GPS tracking and other technology tools for fleet management.
Ensure driver training and compliance with national safety regulations.
General Management Ensure accountability and quality in program and operations management, budget commitments, and financial management in accordance with PRC policies.
Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders such as suppliers, government agencies, and internal departments.
Prepare and manage the supply chain budget, perform cost analysis, and generate performance reports.
Lead, train, and develop a team of supply chain personnel.
Stay updated on industry trends and integrate best practices into supply chain operations.
Respond to emergencies and provide supply chain support for rapid response by the Philippine Red Cross.
Job Specifications Qualifications/Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
