We are looking for a Safety Technician to join our team, reporting to the HSE Supervisor, where you will be responsible for:

• Performing work related to occupational safety, aiming to control and reduce possible risks of accidents, in accordance with specific legislation, standards and company guidelines.

• Carrying out inspections in the workplace and other areas of the unit, identifying unsafe conditions and behaviors, taking all measures to eliminate risks, reporting and guiding workers to eliminate unsafe conditions and acts;

• Providing the appropriate agency with a survey of environmental risks, as well as the preparation of the PGR;

• Providing support to SIPAT by organizing the necessary activities and resources;

• Researching and analyzing the causes of accidents/incidents and the environmental conditions in which they occurred, taking the measures required by law, aiming to prevent their recurrence, as well as correcting them after inspecting the site and making the appropriate communications; •

• Collect and study statistics on workplace accidents, analyzing their causes and severity, with a view to adopting preventive measures;

• Support the management of third parties at the plant;

• Collaborate with the CIPA in its programs, studying its observations and proposals, with a view to adopting corrective and preventive solutions for workplace accidents;

• Manage fire-fighting equipment, keeping it in perfect working condition, controlling its distribution throughout the unit's premises and sending it for maintenance and recharging;

• Determine and guide workers in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), as well as acquire and distribute all equipment, ensuring its registration;

• Support EHS communications;

• Develop and promote training on safety, fire-fighting, first aid, etc.;

• Ensure that conservation, cleaning and hygiene procedures are observed in the work area, as well as guide third parties in compliance with safety, discipline and accident prevention standards;

• Establish, implement, maintain, evaluate and participate in audits in accordance with the Prysmian Group’s HSE MS, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, and customer standards;

• Manage the regulatory standards under your responsibility;

• Support managers, employees and contractors in relation to HSE, their tasks and responsibilities;

• Support in HSE cost management;

• Promote HSE awareness throughout the organization, supporting the maturation of the safety culture;

• Enter data into legal requirements systems, e-social communications and other Prysmian systems;

• Who are we looking for?

Professional with a complete technical education in Occupational Safety and registration with the MTE;

Experience in QHSE management systems (ISO 45001) and with specific legal training (NR’s);

Advanced Excel – Desirable; Advanced English – Desirable.

Completed or ongoing degree - Desirable
