Job Summary

This role leads the Supply Chain, Procurement and Fleet Operations organization and oversee the implementation of department initiatives for each of three these functions in support the corporation's strategic priorities.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Direct AEP’s Strategic Sourcing and Category Management processes to ensure cost effective and efficient procurement of approximately $7.5 Billion of annual purchases of material and services in support of the Business Units achieving their objectives.

Lead AEP’s inventory and material management processes and practices across 225 stores facilities and 100 project construction lay-down yards to ensure effective manage of approximately $1.0 Billion in material inventory while ensuring on-time material delivery.

Partner with AEP legal and the business units to develop standard contract terms, conditions & requirements and oversee the effective administration of approximately 30,000 active contracts & releases and 22,000 open purchase orders & releases

Oversee AEP’s vehicle and specialty equipment standards, acquisition process for procuring $100M+ of equipment annually, appropriate cost allocation to the subsidiaries, fleet maintenance and repairs at 91 garages and overall program administration for AEP’s 14,000 unit fleet.

Manage the Supply Chain and Fleet “source” budgets totaling $330 Million annually

Works closely with senior leadership to ensure supply chain, procurement and fleet operations objectives are delivered and implemented throughout the corporation.

Promote a culture within supply chain, procurement and fleet operations that is consistent with AEP values and lead the department's safety program with the vision of ZERO Harm.

Negotiate high level contracts to ensure best value for the corporation and oversees the implementation of these contracts minimizing risk to the organization.

Drive corporate initiatives and organizational changes through supplier development, sustainability, supplier diversity, total cost savings, audit remediation and SOX reporting.

Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local requirements that generates competitive value to the procurement sourcing process.

Oversees the alignment of Supply Chain organization with Business Units which include: communicating expectations, processes and solutions to any issues.

Partner with the business unit leadership to drive continuous improvement and change management to optimize material and services with a focus on AEP's "total cost of ownership".

Responsible for the implementation of performance measures for Fleet Operations, Procurement and Supply Chain departments to meet senior leadership expectations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education requirements are listed below:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.

Work Experience requirement listed below:

At least 15 years' experience in supply chain, procurement or fleet operations or related AEP operational experience.

Five years leadership/management experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Certified Purchasing Manager (CRM) certification preferred.

Advanced negotiation skills.

Ability to execute complex business transaction that has a corporate wide impact.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong leadership and project management skills

Physical demand level is Sedentary Master's degree preferred.

Compensation Grade:

SP20-015

Compensation Range:

$296,563.00-385,532.50 USD
