Position: Plant Manager - Neville Island
Location: Neville Island Plant - Pittsburgh, PA

The Neville Island Plant Manager is accountable for all planning, manufacturing, warehouse, and maintenance activities and other support functions for the Neville Island Plant to achieve safety, environmental, financial, production, and quality goals. The Neville Island Plant Manager is responsible for operating budget and acts as the local company representative for community relations.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
Maintains a safe working environment for all employees and leads Safety efforts to achieve world-class performance
Develops annual Profit Plans that comprehend implementation of projects to improve safety, reduce manufacturing costs, improve asset productivity, increase first time quality, etc.
Sets appropriate metrics to track and proactively manages safety, production, maintenance, quality, and financial performance to meet Profit Plan goals
Provides coaching to all employees to encourage safe behavior; takes appropriate actions related to repeated incidents of at-risk behaviors
Ensures environmental compliance and reporting requirements are met.
Maximizes productivity by developing and maintaining effective working relationships with labor
Co-chairs the Labor Management Committee
Conducts contract negotiations with bargaining unit
Works closely with Facilities Engineering and Maintenance to determine effective management of capital and assets with maximum return on investment
Works closely with Process Engineering to identify process improvements that will improve production rates, yield, and/or quality
Works closely with Logistics to ensure minimal daily production variance versus the master production schedule to ensure a high level of order fulfillment and adherence to target stock levels
Identifies and provides access to training and development opportunities for all employees to improve everyone's contribution to improving plant performance Qualifications
A bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university is required (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field; Will also accept 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing in lieu of education)
A master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent is preferred.
10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required
Experience managing a collective bargaining unit environment is preferred
Experience with SAP is preferred
