We're growing and looking for a seasoned Heavy Haul Project Freight Manager to lead the charge on critical logistics projects.

The Role:

As our Heavy Haul Project Freight Manager, you'll take the lead on planning, coordinating, and executing heavy haul and over-dimensional freight moves. From the initial quote to final delivery, you'll be the go-to expert ensuring each project runs smoothly, safely, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end heavy haul and project cargo operations, including permits, routing, and subcontractor coordination

Be the Boots on the Ground at project sites

Develop project plans and schedules in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders

Identify equipment needs, secure carriers, and negotiate freight rates

Ensure compliance with DOT, state, and international transport regulations

Conduct route surveys and risk assessments for oversized loads

Lead communications with clients, carriers, and permitting authorities

Monitor progress and resolve any issues that arise during transport

Maintain accurate documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in heavy haul, project cargo, or specialized freight logistics

Proven knowledge of permitting processes and regulatory requirements across North America (or applicable regions)

Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously

Proficiency with logistics and freight management software

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed

Preferred:

Technical knowledge of trailers, heavy equipment, and load securement

Background in both asset based trucking and truck brokering

Relevant certifications (e.g., DOT, OSHA, PMP)
