Our rapidly growing company is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and detail-oriented Permanent Assistant Warehouse Manager. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our operations and sales team, helping to drive our company's success through effective and efficient warehouse management. This position requires a hands-on, proactive individual with a strong background in distribution, inbound logistics, inventory management, performance optimization, safety protocols, and operations. The role demands a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity.
Responsibilities:
Assist in managing all warehouse operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes from receiving inbound shipments to distribution.
Maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy and prevent loss.
Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse performance and productivity.
Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, implementing safety protocols and conducting regular safety training for all warehouse staff.
Work closely with the sales team to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
Monitor and manage warehouse capacity, planning for peak times and ensuring adequate space for inbound shipments.
Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the sales industry.
Proven experience in distribution, inbound logistics, inventory management, performance optimization, safety protocols, and operations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems and software.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
