Position Overview

As the Licensed Optical Supervisor, you will perform all duties of an optician while managing, teaching, and coaching the optical team. You will engage with members, confirm appointments, and ensure department standards are upheld. Acting as a link between our members and the lab, you will guarantee that orders are processed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership: Utilize business data to make informed decisions, guide teams through change, and foster open communication.

Team Development: Train and support team members to enhance their skills and ensure adherence to company policies.

Member Focus: Provide exceptional service at all interaction points and resolve member concerns promptly.

Club Standards: Ensure daily adherence to club and operational standards, maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Key Qualifications:

Licensed optician with an up-to-date license

Knowledge of optical products and retail practices is preferred

High school diploma; management or related experience preferred

Strong leadership, customer service, and organizational skills

Available for open shift schedules

Must be at least 18 years old

Physical Requirements:

Frequent movement in a retail setting

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly, with heavier items requiring assistance

Work in a comfortable indoor environment with some exposure to temperature changes and noise

Utilize optical hand tools for adjustments and repairs

The pay range for this position is starting from $34.00 to $36.00. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we consider a wide range of factors when determining salary, such as location, education, experience, and qualifications.
