Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team in the fly ash harvesting industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all machinery and equipment used in the harvesting production process. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and repair. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with the production team to minimize downtime and improve the overall performance and safety of the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on all mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment.

Equipment Repair: Quickly respond to breakdowns and repair critical equipment including crushers, mills, kilns, conveyors, and other cement production machinery.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to ensure minimal downtime.

Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance tasks comply with company safety policies, environmental regulations, and industry standards. Follow lockout/tagout procedures and ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, spare parts usage, and equipment performance data.

Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment as needed.

Collaboration: Work closely with operators and other technicians to identify areas for improvement and to implement corrective actions.

Inventory Management: Monitor and manage the inventory of spare parts, tools, and materials required for maintenance tasks.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement programs, suggesting ways to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance equipment lifespan. Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in the cement or heavy manufacturing industry.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Familiarity with PLCs, motor controls, pumps, motors, compressors, and related machinery.

Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), work at heights, and in confined spaces as necessary. Must be able to work in noisy, dusty, and challenging environments.

Certifications: OSHA 10/30 certification or equivalent is a plus. Forklift, crane, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a proactive, safety-conscious mindset. Preferred Skills:

Experience with cement plant equipment (e.g., kilns, crushers, mills, screening and conveying equipment).

Familiarity with predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).

Basic knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation.

Ability to interpret construction drawings and diagrams Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a factory environment where temperature, noise, and dust levels may vary.

Ability to work in a physically demanding role, which may involve bending, stooping, climbing, and heavy lifting.
