HSE Manager - Comal Services
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Sitewide leadership: Manage every aspect of HSE for three company locations, including scheduling and oversight of all required testing, regulatory compliance activities and permitting.
Insurance liaison: Partner with the company's insurance carrier to meet all safety reporting and loss control requirements.
Develop procedures and lead the implementation of processes that ensure compliance with applicable standards and best practices.
Prepare, maintain and update HSE policy and procedure manuals.
Provide leadership, supervision, data interpretation and technical advice for projects.
Coach project teams to drive continuous HSE performance improvement.
Track incidents and maintain complete HSE records.
Work with all employees to instill a safe, environmentally conscientious work environment, assess awareness, discuss policies, advise on best practices and coaching to improve behavior.
Required Training / Experience
Education / Experience: Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience.
Training Evaluation: 4week observation period.
Qualifications
Strong MS Office skills.
Excellent written and oral communication; able to speak effectively before senior management, clients, subcontractors and employees.
Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
They will need the following:
14001:2015 Internal Auditor Certification
RCRA/DOT Certification
Health and Safety Certification
Fork Lift Training Certificate (so the person can train our employees)
Management of Hazardous Waste Training
Be very familiar with State and Federal Regulations regarding Hazardous Waste and Permits
OSHA Certificate
Reporting: Annual Waste Summary /Tier Two Reports/ Storm Water Reports due March/July 1st TRI reports to EPA/Pollution Prevention Reports P2 due with TRI reports/ City Semi Annual Reports- 1st 6 months/then second 6 months waste water reports have 15 days to get there after Jan 1 and July 1st (one page report copy last years and send)
